The de Lacy Ethos
This is micro-scale production. Handcrafted precision and considered design are at the heart of de Lacy. In opposition to mass production and mainstream brands, Edward produces only very small runs of each style each year, reflecting the philosophy: buy less, buy better.

Many components are sourced locally from Manchester and the surrounding areas, supporting the local economy while keeping de Lacy’s carbon footprint low. Durable leathers and materials are used throughout, with around 80% of the hides coming from R&D stock at a world-renowned tannery in the Netherlands. Each piece is designed to last a lifetime when properly cared for.

Edward offers a complimentary reconditioning service within the first 10 years of ownership, and thereafter is happy to restore products for a modest fee.

The Reconstructed Collection exemplifies Edward’s considered approach to longevity in fashion. By repurposing unwanted motorcycle apparel, each piece is transformed into a one-of-a-kind bag designed to last for years. Edward regards these creations as heirlooms — items to be cherished, cared for, and passed down through generations.
